A message from our CNO - Rachael Prather
Nursing is not just a profession – it’s a calling. At Ferrell Hospital, we take pride in delivering excellent, compassionate patient care close to home. That was the goal of our founders in 1925 and remains our focus today.
As technology and treatment options continue to evolve, so do the opportunities for nurses. Ferrell offers a variety of nursing positions at all points along the continuum of care, enabling our staff to find the best fit for their skills.
Due to the passion and commitment of our Nursing leadership team, Ferrell is seeking national accreditation. The journey to achieving this standard will be long and challenging, but we are dedicated to providing safe, high-quality care to all patients. Accreditation for the hospital comes from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), and our rural health clinics will be accredited through The Compliance Team (TCT). To us, accreditation is more than an award. It's a promise to our community that we will consistently give them the level of care they deserve.
At Ferrell, we also understand the importance of growth and advancement for our nurses. We offer a variety of educational incentives including the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) and Quorum Health Resources (QHR) educational services. Also available are Deaconess Health System educational services, onsite BLS, ACLS and PALS courses, tuition reimbursement and participation in the National Health Service Corp (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. Additionally, our medical staff and advanced providers make it a priority to foster a learning environment. This allows nurses to ask questions, participate and further develop their skills.
It's an exciting time to be a nurse at Ferrell Hospital. I encourage you to look through our website, reach out and ask questions. You might be surprised at the big things happening here. Thank you for considering a nursing career at Ferrell Hospital – where our community’s health care starts.
