Short Term Rehab and Swing Bed
Ferrell Hospital offers a solution for patients who need short-term rehabilitation or skilled nursing care after being hospitalized. Medicare calls this type of care a “swing bed,” but to us, it is just our family taking care of yours until it’s possible to return home.
A patient may remain in short-term rehab as long as there continues to be progress toward the goals per insurance guidelines. The average stay at Ferrell is less than 15 days. Once goals are met or maximum recovery is achieved, a member of our team will help make preparations for discharge.
